Testing, testing. Is this content on?

Traditional wisdom tells us that strategy should always inform creative, never the other way around. We all know it, but all too often businesses employ campaigns or tactics without considering the bigger picture. The result is sloppy, disjointed execution and failure to have the intended impact. Even the most powerful creative is only as effective as the strategy that empowers it, and that strategy is only powerful if plays by the specific rules of each outlet.  Striking imagery and heart-wrenching copy are useless if they're part of a media placement that gets no eyeballs. Strategy is about connecting the right ideas with the right audience, and tailoring that message in the most effective way possible, measuring each effort and optimizing accordingly.

I've got experience with that.

At the core of most successful marketing initiatives is a pain-stakingly scrutinized plan that is both robust and simple; concise and comprehensive. The most effective content strategy is the one with brand at the core and a deployment plan specific to each channel.
